Dreams

The Leaves live again tonight,
as the wind stirs them from their graves
the restless tide awash with motion,
the souls of a thousand live in the waves.

The ashes of the past, thick and vast,
here is the shell of a place once filled with life
and elsewhere, the earth has quickened,
a jagged edge lifted like the blade of a knife.

But what is loss, without a spirit to miss?
leaves leap from my path as through the air I drift
wind is my soul, fire is my heart,
frozen is my fear, and the earth is my gift.

Physical prisons hold bodies of mist,
barrows of sorrow and pain to dismiss

Physical prisons, physical prisons,
the body is broken and the spirit is risen,
pain is for the living and this release I 'm given,
but I still have one reason for living!

A golden sun rises over the raging sea!
and the souls sleep once again
the rain buries the leaves once more,
the sky's gift to the Plain.

The heat of her heart,
lights my inner flame,
so I choose to die another day,
enter my prison again.
